Сын президента США Эрик Трамп (Eric Trump) провел для своих 6 млн подписчиков в соцсети Х экскурсию-обзор майнингового комплекса компании American Bitcoin в Техасе.
Трамп-младший показал на видео длинные ряды серверов с жидкостным охлаждением и сказал, что на объекте размещено около 35 000 майнинговых устройств, каждое из которых работает «на американской энергии».
Сын американского президента объяснил подписчикам, что для добычи новых биткоинов требуется существенная физическая инфраструктура: серверы, системы охлаждения и энергоснабжение. Поэтому можно с уверенностью заявить, что биткоин материален, объявил бизнесмен и пообещал сделать American Bitcoin одной из ведущих криптокомпаний мира.
Эрик Трамп стал сооснователем American Bitcoin в марте, взяв в партнеры своего брата Дональда Трампа-младшего. Майнинговая компания Hut 8 Group владеет 80% акций American Bitcoin, а остальные 20% находятся в распоряжении компании American Data Centers, контролируемой Эриком Трампом.
Сейчас American Bitcoin владеет 4004 биткоинами. Компания находится на 25 месте среди корпоративных держателей BTC. Помимо майнинга биткоинов на своей ферме American Bitcoin увеличивает запасы криптовалюты за счет привлечения инвестиций. С марта по ноябрь компания привлекла $220 млн на покупку биткоинов и дополнительных устройств для майнинга.
Недавно Эрик Трамп назвал причины, благодаря которым первая криптовалюта может превысить отметку $1 млн.
